Matomo
Slide
Put Matomo reports on the big screen. Keep traffic and campaign numbers visible to the team while your analytics stay on your own infrastructure.
What you can do
- Display any report – Matomo’s Widgetize feature can embed any report, not just the overview
- Display a full dashboard – Or embed a whole Matomo dashboard as one widget
- Choose the period – Fix the widget to today, this week, or a rolling range
- Self-hosted friendly – Works the same against your own Matomo instance
Set it up
Matomo is displayed using Displayful's built-in Website slide — there's nothing to connect.
Allow Matomo to be embedded
Matomo blocks itself from loading inside a frame by default. In your Matomo config (config/config.ini.php), enable framed pages:
[General]
enable_framed_pages = 1
Create a view-only auth token
- In Matomo, go to Administration → Personal → Security → Auth tokens.
- Create a token for a user with View permission only.
It must be a View token. Matomo rejects Write, Admin and superuser tokens for embedding and will show an error instead of the report. Use a dedicated read-only user rather than your own account — the token sits in a URL stored against the slide.
Build the widget URL
Use Matomo's Widgetize feature (Administration → Websites → Widgetize) to pick a report and copy its embed URL, then append your token:
https://matomo.example.com/index.php?module=Widgetize&action=iframe
&moduleToWidgetize=Dashboard&actionToWidgetize=index
&idSite=1&period=day&date=today&disableLink=1&widget=1
&token_auth=<view-token>
Add it as a slide
- In your slideshow, click Add slide → Website.
- Paste the widget URL.
- Save. The report will render on your devices.
The device loads Matomo directly, so it needs to reach your Matomo host. An instance on an internal network won't render unless the device is on that same network.
