Devices
Connect your TVs and screens to Displayful, and choose what each one shows.
A device is any screen that shows your Displayful content: a smart TV, a TV stick, a tablet or a computer connected to a display. If it has a web browser, it works.
You connect a screen once with a short code. After that you manage it from Devices, and change what it shows without touching the screen again.
Activate a device
- On the screen, open displayful.co/tv. A code appears.
- In Displayful, go to Devices and click Activate.
- Enter the code from the screen, give the device a name like “Reception”, and choose a slideshow or schedule.
- Click Activate.
The screen starts showing your content within a few seconds.
Tip Name devices after where they hang, like “Reception” or “Kitchen”, so everyone knows which screen is which.
Change what a device shows
- Go to Devices and click the device.
- Choose another slideshow or schedule, or change the name.
- Click Update.
The screen switches over at its next slide.
Check that your screens are online
Devices shows every screen with its status and when it was last seen. A screen counts as offline when it hasn’t been in touch for five minutes.
You don’t need to keep checking. When a screen goes offline, the bell at the top of Displayful lets you know.
Remove a device
Open the menu on the device’s row and click Delete. The screen goes back to showing a code, so you can activate it again later.
FAQ
The code on the screen changed before I entered it
Codes last five minutes, and the screen shows a new one by itself. Enter the code that’s on the screen now.
The screen restarted. Do I need to activate it again?
No. Open displayful.co/tv again and the screen goes straight back to your content.
A screen shows that our subscription has expired
Your trial or subscription has ended, so screens pause your content. Renew from Settings > Billing and they pick up again by themselves. See Billing.
