Schedules
Play different slideshows at different times of the week on the same screen.
A schedule lets one screen show different slideshows at different times of the week. Show the lunch menu at noon, today’s numbers in the afternoon and a welcome message in the morning, without changing anything by hand.
Each schedule is a week of periods. A period plays one slideshow on one day, from a start time to an end time. Whenever no period is planned, the schedule plays its default slideshow.
Create a schedule
- Go to Schedules and click Add Schedule.
- Enter a Name, like “Reception week”.
- Under Slideshow, choose what to play when no period is planned.
- Click Save.
The schedule opens with a Week card listing Monday to Sunday. A day with no periods shows Default plays all day.
Add a period
- Open the schedule and click + on the day you want to fill.
- Choose a Start and an End time.
- Choose the Slideshow to play.
- Click Save.
Periods on the same day can’t overlap. When a period ends before midnight, the + button moves to its row, and your next period starts where that one ends.
Change the default slideshow
The default slideshow fills every gap between your periods.
- Open the schedule.
- Under Default slideshow, choose a slideshow.
- Click Save.
Tip Pick a default that works at any time of day, so your screen never runs out of things to show.
Show a schedule on a screen
- Go to Devices and click the device.
- Choose your schedule instead of a slideshow.
- Click Update.
The screen follows the schedule from its next slide. See Devices.
FAQ
What plays when no period is planned and there’s no default?
Nothing. Set a Default slideshow so the screen always has something to show.
How do I cover a late evening that runs past midnight?
A period ends at midnight at the latest. Add one period that ends at 24:00, and another that starts at 00:00 on the next day.
What happens to my screens if I delete a schedule?
Screens that showed it are left with nothing to play. Open each one in Devices and choose a new slideshow or schedule.
